The Context
Athena X-IFU is a project designed by a consortium of researchers and partner institutes (led by IRAP – Institut de Recherche en Astrophysique et Planétologie) whose aim is to reveal the secrets of the Universe. It is one of the two instruments of the European Space Agency’s future telescope, Athena. Thanks to its X-ray eyes, it will be able in 2030 to observe a world of galaxy clusters, black holes and explosive stars: the hot and energetic Universe.
The Challenge
In order to properly present this project, IRAP called upon our services for a complete redesign of the website. This redesign allows the project to promote the cryogenic X-ray spectrometer (X-IFU) in a clear way, to scientists but also to the general public.
Our Approach
We were delighted to take on the challenge alongside their communications team and thus convey this device to everyone. First of all, we learned about the project, their values, the functioning of their teams, etc., in order to design a website that truly reflects them. Then, we designed a customized, sober, and accessible interface which includes all the must-have information on the Athena X-IFU. And finally, we developed the site as agreed upon, highlighting the project in all its forms.
